In Spanish, manuscript on paper and parchment Spain, Andalusia, Seville, dated 1788-1790 226 ff. (for the confirmation of nobility of the Sotomayor family) + 9 ff. (for the confirmation of nobility of the Vallejo family), preceded by 7 ff. of paper endpapers, followed by 7 ff. of paper guards, with a total of 5 illuminated compositions (3 on parchment at the beginning of the manuscript introducing the confirmation of nobility of the Sotomaior family and 2 on paper towards the end of the manuscript, at the beginning of the confirmation of nobility of the Vallejo family) protected by blue silk serpents, stamps and signatures of the witnesses; laminated labels coming from the "Colegio de escrivanos de Sevilla"; stamped notarial paper. Bound in red morocco with gilt decoration, boards richly decorated with small irons, successive frames and central fleurons, spine with 5 nerves partitioned and decorated with flowers, blue silk covers, marbled paper endpapers, brass clasps. Some rubbing to the nerves and corners; 4th illuminated composition (on paper) detached from the seam; some stains and rubbing to the illuminated compositions. Size of leaves: 205 x 312 mm; size of binding: 220 x 322 mm. Beautiful manuscript of confirmation of nobility for two families from Galicia (Sotomayor and Vallejo), established in Seville in the 18th century. Titles of nobility and family tree of the Sotomaior family followed by the same for the Vallejo family. These families were originally established in Galicia, in Monterreal de Baiona. The illuminated compositions on parchment of the first part are: Blazon y armas de la ilustre casa de Sotomayor; a family tree of the Sotomayor family; Title inscribed in an illuminated frame. Those that illustrate the second part are on paper and include: Blason y armas de la casa del noble apellido de Vallejo; a family tree: Arbol genologico de las ilustres casas de Don Juan Ignacio Vallejo...
