KO+CO REMEMBER JEAN CHARLES DE CASTELBAJAC CIRCA 1980/85 - Lot 97
KO+CO REMEMBER JEAN CHARLES DE CASTELBAJAC CIRCA 1980/85
"COAT COVER" in chick-yellow bouclette wool lined with primary-toned checks, collar to be rolled up with straps, two patch pockets, collar embellished with the label's crest: a koala holding a flying saucer (approx. T L/XL) (pilling, patina of fabric and label).
From 1970 to 1995, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac's collections were produced in collaboration with his mother Jeanne de Castelbajac, co-founder of the Ko and Co company, around the concept of starting at the end and using fabrics made from textile waste: industrial mops and blankets, the detour of materials, the beginnings of upcycling.
All Ko and Co creations were cut flat, following the architecture of medieval garments and Asian kimonos. The KO and CO koala logo comes from this dada motto: "In Macao, there are cocoa fields where koalas run".
