Chalipa poetic calligraphy, Safavid Iran, signed Sultan Mahmud al-Turbi and dated 973 H / 1565 Obliquely calligraphed quatrain on Persian nasta'liq paper in black ink in reserves on a gold-illuminated background of vegetal foliage, the text framed by two triangular cartouches inscribed in reserves on a floral background illuminated in gold and polychrome and punctuated with tchi clouds. The lower cartouche gives the name of the copyist, Sultan Mahmud al-Turbi. In the lower part of the composition, a horizontal line of text gives the date 973 H / 1565. Calligraphy mounted on an album page with a painted border of golden foliage on a blue background on paper watermarked with a coat of arms. Framed.
